Swish is a personal concert-tracking app made by a solo developer (Allen Liao). This page explains what data Swish collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email swish.support@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you create an account, we store your email address, handle, and display name. When you use the app, we store the concert data you log — shows, ratings, written reviews, photos, and video clips you upload.
All of this lives in Supabase, a hosted database provider, in the US (us-east-1 region).
Who can see your data
Everything you log is private by default — your shows, photos, and notes are visible only to you.
If you follow another user and they follow you back (mutuals), they can see your show list: artist, venue, city, date, and status. They can also see anything you've explicitly chosen to publish, like reviews or punches.
Reviews you publish publicly are visible to any signed-in user, not just mutuals.
Search and autocomplete
When you search for an artist or venue while logging a show, Swish sends your search text to MusicBrainz, a third-party open music database, to look up matches. Optional one-tap setlist autofill uses setlist.fm the same way. No other personal data is sent with those queries.
Diagnostics
If the app crashes or hangs, a crash/hang report is sent via Sentry so we can fix the bug. These reports don't include your name, email, or other personally-identifying details, and performance tracing is switched off entirely. Reports are never used for tracking or ads. Screenshot and view-hierarchy capture on a crash only happens in debug builds we run ourselves, never in the version you install from the App Store.
What we don't do
- No ads.
- No selling of your personal data.
- No third-party analytics — we use a first-party events table to understand how the app is used and improve it, not an outside analytics vendor.
AI and your content
Your content — shows, reviews, photos, notes — is never used to train AI models. Settings includes an optional toggle, off by default, that lets your public reviews be used to improve AI features in the app. Nothing else is ever used this way, and you can turn it off at any time.
Moderation
You can report content or block another user. Reported content is reviewed and may be removed, and accounts may be suspended for abuse.
Your data, your control
Settings lets you export your data as JSON or CSV at any time, and delete your account entirely from within the app. Deleting your account removes your data from our systems.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
